Polzeath Marine Group Beachcombing Event
Join us for a fun and fascinating beachcombing walk along Polzeath's shoreline! As we explore the beach, we'll discover the amazing things the sea leaves behind — from tropical sea beans that have drifted across the Atlantic, to crab moults, mermaid’s purses, and cuttlebones, all clues to the marine life living nearby.
You’ll learn about:
Creatures living on the rocky shore and in the intertidal zone
Local seaweeds and the impact of the tides
The ever-changing sands and beach structure
