Our new activity of plaque painting last summer proved a massive success with more than 250 displayed along the fence outside the marine centre. We will be doing this again this summer!

Rockpool Rambles- We will be taking slightly larger groups to the rockpools this summer if the Coronavirus restrictions continue to be relaxed but will not be taking the large groups as in the past, so please book early as they will fill up quickly. You can book online, on Facebook or call into the Marine Centre.

Our recycled marine rubbish sculptures

Our sculptures were made entirely from marine litter found on Baby Bay, Polzeath and Greenaways, apart from the bits of wood that were sourced from National Trust, and recycled chicken wire. We wanted to highlight the amount of marine litter washed up on our beaches that includes ghost fishing gear such as the nets, rope and lobster pots, as well as weird other rubbish such as a baby bath!

Massive thank you to Laura and Dis, our main sculptors and everyone else who helped create these stunning pieces of art that have become such an invaluable educational tool and have featured frequently on many social media pages.
